Show notes
Cliff’s first Magpu show!
Cliff says:
I heard about this show from Michael Bourgon, a notable progressive rock fan from the D/FW area. That e-mail changed my life.
I think I left during the second set, so I didn’t see the whole show, but I was very impressed with what I did see, and attended every show I could from that point onward.
The opening song, “Delete This, Baby”, impressed me with its Doctor Nerve-like frantic intensity. Overall, I heard elements of Canterbury prog, especially National Health. I think I was picking up on a resemblance in Brian’s guitar tone and style to that of Phil Miller.
The second set opens with a massive Amycalling, including a full-on drum jam with contributions from members of the audience.
